I wish I could give this place less then a one star review. We came to watch Top Gun on a Friday night, and during the best part of the movie, the movie start to skips and restarts. They put it back to where we were at, then it skipped non stop again. No manager or person came to the theatre to speak to us. Once everyone lost hope, we walked outside and the manger told everyone no refunds. Yea, can you believe that? Only thing they could offer was the same movie at a different date.Terrible experience. Ruined a great movie. This place is not worth it. Our necks were cranked looking up and side ways, on top of that no leg space because the chairs don’t recline.Do your self a favor and watch a person at a regular theatre. Where the movie will work, the customer service will be good, and at least they’ll give you your money back if the movie has an issue.

I love this science center! It's been a few years since we've been here but we purchased the annual subscription and had a great time! I love the changing exhibits and the transportation exhibit they have going on right now! It was a blast and they have a hover craft right now too. It's more like an air hockey table type of hover but still cool!

The science center was fun, we spent about 90 minutes here. A lot of things were closed and in comparison to other science centers around the country it's pretty small. The kids enjoyed it but it does not hold its own compared to the Orlando science center or the Portland museum of science.

Nice museum to visit with children when visiting Balboa Park. We enjoyed the exhibits and the dome theater. However, admission for our family of four would have been over $80 and that seems a bit too steep. Luckily, we had a 50% off discount. Admission with the discount seemed like the correct amount.

It was fun. They removed a big section that my daughter loved that said no adulting. Not sure if they're making something new but hopefully they'll add something cool in that area. I believe it's free for San Diego residents on the 1st Tuesday of the month

For the high prices of admission, this museum lacks to deliver any amusement or quality. Everything is mostly rundown, dark and dysfunctional. Plus customer service lacks as an elderly woman worker in the front entrance displays no personality or welcoming attitudes. Whenever I would ask a question she would snap rudely and try to dismiss me like I was bothering her. You would think the technicians would be good at something as well but they fail to deliver overall. Do yourself a favor and spend your money someplace where you will actually not regret it and receive better service.

Very nice to take the kids, simple but very useful experiments to teach kids basic science and technology concepts, while having fun and being fully engaged. Kids love it! The exhibits are changing frequently, there is another upstairs floor with even more science. Don't miss out and watch one of the IMAX science/nature movies on the dome planetarium screen. Kids can spend the whole day trying out all the different exhibits. Bring your water and snacks!

Great exhibits for people of all ages and interests. Kid City is really good, limited to kids 5 and under with really cool things to do. The exhibits of miniature automatons is fascinating; a combination of really creative wood-and-metal working with mechanical engineering - and there's a lot of buttons for little kids to push!

I used to go there as a kid and it's changed so much over the years.. currently, there's video games and the educational part of it is the science behind it.. customer service is still good as well as I remember.. Prices have gone up and now Hollywood movies are shown there in addition to the educational documentaries... They're still require face masks and safety protocols..

Very disappointing experience. Definitely not for adults without young kids. I asked the employee if the science center was geared at all for adults so I didn't waste one of my 4 museum tickets if it wasn't and he failed to tell me this place is entirely geared toward children. Even still the exhibits are old and in need of updates. Certainly not worth the entrance cost for adults.

Loved the exhibits. Great for kids. They let me in using my Arizona science membership. Nice that they reciprocate with other museums

When I went to the science museum when I was a little kid there was so much more geared towards children. The kid zone is cool for the kids... But everything else was very grown up in the fact that you have so much reading to understand what is being shown. With little ones they don't have the attention span for this. I would definitely say that it is not worth this type of entry fee for what they provide. We were all disappointed.

It’s really old, dirty and outdated. Clearly the kids could hurt themselves on some of these toys. They’re sharp and broken. The only thing that looks new is the VR experience and the cafeteria and the shop. The free ice cream is really good. Everything else is broken or really old it’s falling apart. The kids zone has such old toys you can’t even tell what kind of fruit or vegetable they’re playing with. The little rings that are supposed to roll on their own don’t even have a stick so you can interact with the display. The carpets are filthy and old. Upstairs where the “music” section is a lot of the displays are missing parts. The one good thing is that the customer service is really good but I wouldn’t really visit unless you want to spend money on “something to do”. The dome theatre is kinda cool

Science rocks! This place can give you a broad experience of many wonderful science projects. You can spend many hours trying different experiments. This is a great place for kids ages 5-12!

Great place for younger kiddos yet still has enough to keep teenagers entertained. My only beef is when a display/station has broken or missing parts. I really feel like there is enough foot traffic to warrant quick repairs.

Great place to introduce young minds to hands on experiences that could spark further years of interest. Some younger guests may have difficulty on some interactive exhibits that requires higher level math or critical thinking but they fortunately have a young kids zone upstairs as well.If you're viewing a movie experience be sure to arrive to the theater doors early to guarantee best seating. But don't worry if you get stuck in a corner seat either, still a decent all around viewing experience.

Parking is free, and there are a TON of other museums to choose from after exhausting yourself at this one. There are a lot of hands-on exhibits for the kids, and other themes to hold the teenagers' interest. My son romped around Kid Town, played in the games room, and had a great time trying out a the science experiments.I really liked the large choice of educational games in the store as you leave.

Kind of boring, I'm used to the one in Arizona.. but the virtual reality thing was pretty cool, I loved the theater, we watched a movie on a sea turtle. The 2 young men that worked in the kids workshop area, were really nice, upbeat and helpful..we made a couple spinning tops.

This place is great for kids and adults. I had a blasted and so did the little ones. You get to be very interactive with all the displays and is well worth the price of admission especially that it comes with a iMax ticket. There are two floors you can explore and the top one does have an area for smaller kiddos so if you have an age difference like we did no one felt left out. Also really liked the nasa info they had in there.

This place is absolutely awesome. Make sure to hit the imax movie. You won't regret it. 360 degrees of fun! I have been coming here as a kid and it's no wonder how much I love science. This place never gets old. There are many different lessons. Some that have been there since I can remember and others that are brand new. Balboa Park in itelselfnis great but the addition of the science center really makes it a great family go to. They are expanding the lab area but it still looks good and clean. My favorite of course is the Imax theater. Booyow

How fun and creative is this place! My boys 2 and 4-1/2 loves coming here. The 'construction area' and ships are awesome! It is obvious that each area is very well thought out for what a kid would love. We spent also a lot of time in the art area, where you can literally paint the town orange! :). If only we lived close by, we would be there all the time, and I did get severely lost 🙁

This is a great museum for young kids. I went with my family, nephew and nieces during the Halloween event and the place had kids of all ages. There is a place for infants to play where adults and kids have to take their shoes off. There was an animal petting place and different rooms that had arts and crafts. I also saw a miniature train ride for kids.

My Wife and I decided to come here during our recent trip to SD and it was a lot of fun! We love taking silly pictures together and we had a lot of fun. I'd suggest bringing your own tripod or renting one of theirs. We decided not to but wish we did. There are a lot of cool Fleet Science Center to take pictures with. Only complaint is it's a little small and a lot of the murals are close together so you constantly have people near you trying to get their pictures at the same time. Other than that it was a great time and I'd recommend!

It's mostly geared for kids but there are ample displays upstairs for adults. And, then, there is the domed theater that offers a selection from a few venues that occassionally rotates with different films. The museum doesn't seem to have been very innovative as they haven't maintained old displays very well and they shut down the virtual reality ride that was a blast.
