RADY CHILDREN’S INVITATIONAL
This year’s Rady Children’s Invitational features four top Division 1 Basketball Teams. This year’s tourney kick-off is Thursday, November 23rd at Lion Tree Arena on the UCSD campus with the game starting at Noon. The first game features Oklahoma vs Iowa, with game two featuring #21-ranked USC playing Seton Hall. The tourney concludes the following day, Friday, November 24th. This holiday tournament promises an unforgettable weekend of basketball, beaches, and the best San Diego has to offer. Read more.
10TH ANNUAL CORONADO 5K TURKEY TROT
Move your feet before the feast! Join the Coronado Unit of the Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary for our 10th Annual 5k Turkey Trot on November 23, at 8:00 am at Tidelands Park. All net proceeds benefit Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. We welcome runners, strollers (both kinds) and walkers! HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS AT THE OLD GLOBE
Now playing at the Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park is the ever-popular Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The production will run from November 8 to December 31, 2022. Every Who down in Who-ville liked Christmas a lot . . . but the Grinch, who lived just north of Who-ville, did NOT! In this live-action adaptation of the beloved children’s tale by Dr. Seuss, the reclusive green Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. O’SIDE TURKEY TROT
“Move your feet before you eat” this Thanksgiving at the 18th Annual Oceanside Turkey Trot 5K or 5-mile run/walk. The event offers a costume contest, the largest teams competition, fabulous live entertainment on the course, and finisher medals for all participants. The scenic beachside course starts on Coast Highway and ends behind the amphitheater on the strand in Oceanside and features 5K or 5 miles of fast and flat stretches, water views, and ocean breezes. SEAWORLD CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
Join SeaWorld at their Christmas Celebration which starts this Friday, November 17th, and runs until January 7th, 2024. This year’s celebration will have Christmas shows, a Christmas parade, and believe it or not, snow! You’ll find acres of beautiful decorations along with a towering 30-foot Christmas tree and a music-activated tunnel of lights. Of course, Santa will be there along with his lead reindeer Rudolf.
