ARTWALK LIBERTY STATION
The 19th edition of ArtWalk Liberty Station is returning to San Diego’s Liberty Station on August 3rd & 4th to celebrate art and culture. The festival will showcase the talents of over 175 artists from different states and Mexico, featuring diverse forms of art such as paintings, photography, glass and ceramics, jewelry, and sculpture. Families can also enjoy the KidsWalk section, where kids can participate in various hands-on art activities. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4th. Read More…
7TH ANNUAL WINE & VINE UNCORKED CARLSBAD
Join us this Saturday, August 3rd from 5 PM – 8 PM for the Rotary Club of Carlsbad’s annual Wine Vine Uncorked Carlsbad Tasting Event. This event will feature a variety of local wines from North County San Diego vineyards and wines from Temecula, Paso Robles, and Northern California. Not only will there be delicious wine, but also food, music, and a chance to support North County charities and non-profits dedicated to helping the most vulnerable members of our community. JULIAN STARFEST
Promising the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars, The annual Julian Startest takes place this weekend, Friday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 4th at the Menghini Winery in Julian. The inaugural Julian StarFest took place in 2008. Due to the pandemic, the event was put on hold but resumed in 2022 and had a successful run in 2023. STAR OF INDIA FAMILY OVERNIGHT EXPERIENCE
The museum is pleased to announce the highly popular Star of India Family Overnight Experience is back. Families can choose from two opportunities on July 26 and August 9, starting at 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. the following day. Families who participate will stay aboard the 1863 ship, Star of India, which is docked at the Maritime Museum of San Diego. They will embark on an imaginary voyage by signing up as the “crew” and working with knowledgeable Living History staff to gain an understanding of what life was like for sailors during the Golden Age of Sail.
