LOS POSADAS: AN OLD TOWN CELEBRATION
Join in celebrating the 65th Annual Pas Posadas in Old Town. The festivities begin this Friday, December 8th at 7- at the Heritage County Park in Old Town. Embark on a narrative pilgrimage alongside Joseph and Mary, as they seek shelter at different inns, represented by six strategically placed stations within the Heritage County Park. Mary, astride a donkey, will be accompanied by a heavenly ensemble of shepherds and angels, reviving the tale that has touched hearts for centuries. Read more.
MISSION BAY PARADE OF LIGHTS
The Mission Bay Parade of Light will take place on Saturday, December 9th at 5:30 pm on beautiful Mission Bay. Kick-off this holiday tradition with SeaWorld’s spectacular fireworks and enjoy the festive holiday boats parade on the bay from a designated spectator viewing area. HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS AT THE OLD GLOBE
Now playing at the Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park is the ever-popular Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The production will run from November 8 to December 31, 2022. Every Who down in Who-ville liked Christmas a lot . . . but the Grinch, who lived just north of Who-ville, did NOT! In this live-action adaptation of the beloved children’s tale by Dr. Seuss, the reclusive green Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. POWAY CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK
For over 40 years, the quaint little surfing village of Ocean Beach has hosted one of the best Holiday Parades in San Diego. On Saturday, December 2nd, Newport Avenue will be lined with colorful OBceans and visitors all eagerly awaiting the commencement of the 44th Annual OB Holiday Parade at Sunset! This year’s 2023 Parade theme is “Santa’s Disco Luau”. Decorate an Ornament for the OB Holiday Tree! A very limited supply of wooden ornaments are available this year so don’t miss out! Read More
OCEANSIDE HARBOR PARADE OF LIGHTS
Christmas is fast approaching and the celebrations are underway! This Saturday, December 9th beginning at 7 PM is the annual Oceanside Harbor Parade of Lights. This fun spectacle with boats of all shapes and sizes decorated in their finest holiday attire, including lights, ornaments, and lots of holiday trimmings. Additionally, many of the captains and boat crews dress up in their holiday best, with a few jolly Santas joining to take part in the festive parade celebration. Once finished the best decorated powerboat, sailboat, and small-craft boats will be awarded prizes. More.
