DEL MAR WINE + FOOD FESTIVAL
Come out this weekend and celebrate the inaugural Del Mar Wine + Food Festival under the sun at Surf Sports Park (formerly Del Mar Polo Fields). This celebration was created by longtime locals who truly understand San Diego. They are featuring some of San Diego’s top chefs and some outstanding wineries. 27TH ANNUAL TASTE OF GASLAMP
The Taste of Gaslamp has become a favorite for both locals and tourists who visit the Quarter in order to enjoy a culinary journey that includes 20+ restaurants spread over 16 square blocks. The Taste of Gaslamp was originally founded in 1993 in the Yuma Building as an intimate dinner to showcase local talent. It has since evolved into a must-attend event for foodies who want to discover the culinary mecca of The Gaslamp Quarter. MOONLIGHT AMPHITHEATER – 42ND STREET
Come experience the melodies of Broadway! “42nd Street” celebrates Broadway, Times Square, and show biz with humor, charm, and panache. At the height of the Great Depression, Peggy Sawyer comes to New York from Allentown PA hoping to land her dream job, only for its leading lady to break her ankle mere days before opening night is Peggy capable of filling in as the lead? Among its musical highlights are “You’re Getting To Be a Habit With Me,”, “We’re In The Money”, “Lullaby of Broadway”, “Shuffle Off To Buffalo”, and “Forty-Second Street”. Read more.
4TH ANNUAL ARTWALK CARLSBAD
Enjoy the 4th Annual ArtWalk Carlsbad, this Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th, above the Flower Fields, off Palomar Airport Road from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm on Sunday. ArtWalk Carlsbad is still FREE for attendees in 2023. This event will feature fine art displayed and available for purchase by artists who come from across the US and Mexico. The venue, which overlooks the ocean will offer a full palette of musical performers, food trucks, stands, and more. Read more.
SURF DOG SURF-A-THON
Surf’s up for The 19th Annual Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon which will take place on Sunday, September 10th. This event is held at Del Mar Dog Beach between 8 AM and 2 PM. Come and see the best surf dogs in the world demonstrate their skills. Interact with over 20 vendors, and enjoy our costume contest. This fun family event helps raise funds for Helen Woodward Animal Center’s pets and programs. Read More
