LA JOLLA CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE
The 18th Annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance will have a theme and featured cars celebrating the timeless elegance of the Roaring 20s and the glamorous 30s. From April 19th to April 21st, this year’s event will present over 170 meticulously restored automobiles from the 1920s, 1930s, and beyond. The showcase will also feature commemorative art by Scott Jacobs. Known for its status as one of the top classic automobile exhibitions in the United States, the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance attracts car enthusiasts worldwide for a weekend of prestigious events. 54TH ANNUAL CHICANO PARK DAY CELEBRATION
The 54th celebration of Chicano Park Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9 am to 4 pm. This annual event is free for everyone and open to the public. This year’s commemoration focuses on reviving the genuine essence and vitality of the Chicano Park Takeover. The design for the event poster, created by Jose Olague, was chosen by most members. We would also like to thank Ray Flores for his contributions to the text and overall graphic design. SAN DIEGO EARTHFEST
San Diego EarthFest, presented by Vegan Food Popup, is a fantastic Earth Day celebration that is completely free to attend. The event showcases more than 100 vendors offering eco-friendly food, products, and services, as well as various organizations dedicated to environmental conservation and animal rescue. Attendees can look forward to a fun-filled day of entertainment, including informative speakers, live music, and engaging activities for children. FALLBROOK AVOCADO FESTIVAL
This Sunday, April 21st from 9 am to 5 pm, The Fallbrook Annual Avocado Festival offers a chance for people to come together and enjoy themselves, attracting a large number of visitors. The significance of avocados in our lives is seen in the festival’s various activities such as the Farmers Market, Agricultural Area, Avocado Culinary Demonstrations, Guacamole Contest, Avocado Ice Cream, Holy Guaca-Moly, the Art of the Avocado Contest, the Avo 500 Children’s Car Race, and the Best Decorated Avocado Contest.
