This was a company Holiday party event. The location was beautiful. Even though we were on the rooftop there were plenty of heaters to keep the chill off. Lovely venue!! Very nice servers!!

I'm staying at Andaz and ordered in room dining. When placing my order ( a burger and a salad), I was told it would be delivered within 15 to 20 minutes. An hour goes by - no food. Called for update and was told they were "boxing it up now" and would have it to me in 20 minutes. Half hour goes by when I receive a call advising they will get the order to me in 10 to 15 minutes. It took almost 2 hours for this simple food order to be delivered, which is totally unacceptable. On top of that, they delivered the wrong salad. We ordered a Caesar salad and they brought a Quinoa salad (a cost of $3 more than the Caesar). We don't like Quinoa; didn't call to complain as I didn't think it would have done any good. In addition to the $3 delivery fee, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to my bill. Believe me, I would not have paid an 18% tip for the poor service we received. Not a happy customer - and I stay at Hyatt hotels a lot!!

Here is the restaurant for the free globalist breakfast when staying at the Andaz.Food was absolutely delicious and quick service. We were also told by check in that we should not tip at all, as the free breakfast includes a tip too!

Our server was friendly and helpful. The place was pretty empty and it still took a long time to actually get our drinks. I should have taken note that no one else was eating food... My bad. It wasn't good. But also, the drinks were bad to the point that we didn't finish them. I really wanted to like this place, but the drinks are expensive, the view isn't remarkable, and I lost an equal part time and money.

Dressed to impress then a mess!!Great views! Excellent bar vibe! Not much options for menu and the drink I requested tasted like lemonade. They ran out of blue curacao so made up a drink for me. Not impressed! We left the Hotel indigo just to realize STK in the scruffy part of town, had to call uber to rescue us from this mess.

Visiting from Texas . I just have to say everything about this place was just PERFECT. From the drinks , food and customer service . Drinks and food was just AMAZING we waited literally 10 mins and had our food and drinks. No wait at all. Our server/bartender MIKE was the BEST. Super entertaining . This has by far been my FAVORITE STOP HERE IN SAN DIEGO...

I rarely post reviews about places because I know that certain restaurants have rough nights or days. This post is especially for the manager to see because my fiancee and I were so disappointed with the way we were treated by the host. We made a reservation in the morning for an evening dinner. I called an hour before the reservation to confirm and the host did not find our reservation even though we got an email confirmation, and was extremely rude about it. She hung up on us before we could even speak, she didn't answer our calls, and no manager has returned our call after leaving a voicemail. We drove 3 hours to come to this rooftop restaurant and to be treated so poorly by an immature host/business makes me feel like it's well-deserved to put a terrible review for this place. Would not recommend.

Tho the place was empty on a Saturday night, I was barred from entering because I did not carry my passport on me. I offered digital copies of my passport, ID and drivers license, as well as access to my bank app to prove the name on the documents was really me (in spite of the featured pictures). Sometimes it’s just a matter of good sense and some people don’t have it.As a tourist, I feel they could have cut me some slack, who bring the hard copy of their passport to a bar, but some people just hold on to the little authority they have to bring some meaning to their boring lives 🤷‍♀️

One star for the view. The service and bar situation is atrocious. No easy way to get a drink with one bartender. Yea this is how I want to wait for a $20 drink - In line like a heard of cattle under heat lamps. Avoid.

Five star views. Three stars for the typical “exclusive night spot” politics to get inside. I’d you’re a guest at the Marriott you get to skip the line. The drinks are reasonable and refreshing. Views are spectacular of downtown SD. Security and staff maintained a really buttoned down operation so it kept things classy. They had a great DJ on a Saturday night.

Cool view of the city. Lots of rules and saw several people kicked out. Be on your A game. And brunch cash to bribe security to cut the line. Saw SEVERAL people do it.

Came here for happy hour (5-7PM). Cocktails were quite good and ingredients were all fresh. Bartenders all very friendly! Great views.Downsides: Great views IF you can get a seat near the edge (difficult with large groups), long lines (10+min) for drinks means you’ll very soon be paying non-happy hour prices.

overall really dope lounge, but they pack it way too much. we arrived a bit after the 7th inning of a Padres game and were able to snag a few spots with a perfect view of the game. The line for drinks was quite long as there was way too many people, but also only one bartender. Besides this, the drinks were amazing, the views were stunning, and music was on point. Definitely check this place out, but maybe not too close to the end of Padres games.

If you're not a guest at this hotel, don't waste your time. There's a hotel guest priority line inside and a separate line for everyone else outside. Perfectly understandable. But they will leave everyone outside with no courtesy direction and hold everything up to wait for hotel guests. You'd think they would take some groups from outside in-between hotel guests, but no. My group and I were in the very front of the general line for over an hour. Even when there were zero or 2-3 people in the priority line, they wouldn't allow the general line to move forward, meanwhile it's nearly wrapped around the block. I asked some older white guy in a suit and ear piece about the line. His explanation was poor, poor service , poorly organized, everything all around poor poor poor. 0 out of 10 would recommend, unless you're actually a hotel guest evidently.

Big lines to get in. If you stay at the Hotel you go in on a different line which is faster, priority. Great customer service. Drinks are good and the view is the best. Can get a bit chilly so bring a coat. Also if you stay at hotel you can take your drink to your room if you decide to finish it there.

I'm not sure what the negative reviews are coming from.Clearing a very critical person. I hope you try this place out if you haven't been. Good food, each side has its own style. Even something that can seem plain or a regular entree has more thought put into it from the chefs.Ice cold beer is great here.Lastly, be insistent WHERE you want to sit. That makes the experience of this fresh spot as well.

I’ve eaten here several times now, and they have my favorite tacos in Oceanside. The restaurant is walking distance from the beach, so it’s perfect if you’re heading to the beach or leaving the beach. They have a great drink selection (with a rooftop bar) as well as surprisingly good dessert options. I highly recommend this place!

My boyfriend and I came on a Sunday afternoon around 12:15. The restaurant downstairs was not busy at all. We were seated right away. Unfortunately we waited 15 minutes and no one came to greet us or ask for our drink order. The girl who seated us was also very rude and not welcoming. We decided to head upstairs to the rooftop. The guys working up there were very friendly. We placed our drink and food order and it did not take long to get it. I don’t know what was going on downstairs but there were plenty of employees just standing around. I would have given it 5 stars except for our beginning experience. Would go back again for bottomless mimosas and the avocado taco is amazing!

The first time we went here, early summer, I would have left 5 stars. Amazing food and amazing service. Just went back in August and wasn't so impressed. We wanted to go to the balcony but were told a 30 min wait, then another 30, then another.... We were from out of town so really wanted the balcony view. The staff on the balcony were amazing. Main floor, not so much.

The Manager here was really nice and was cordial in conversing with us when we visited the bar. The bananas foster sundae was amazing and huge! The only downside was the Irish coffees we ordered at the bar lacked whipped cream and it was hard to get a coffee refill. The poor bartender had to go all the way back to the kitchen to get a coffee pot. Note to Manager- PUT A COFFEE POT IN THE BAR AREA! That said, I think I will still be back as I saw other patrons who ordered the fish and chips and it looked really good.

Wow. 4 of us met for lunch on a (sunny, clear) Sunday. Fantastic views of the cove and coast. Cocktails were solid and arrived quickly. Two couples each had fish tacos and split a burger four ways. The burger was outstanding. To us, the fish in the tacos lacked a bit of flavor, but it was perfectly cooked and the sauce and garnishes were good. It was our friend’s birthday, and they brought out a very delicious chocolate dessert with ice cream as a bonus. Wait staff was top notch. Definitely a go-to spot when you’re in La Jolla.

Went here for a quick lunch and for the vibes everyone has been raving about online. I got the fried chicken sandwich ($16) and my wife got the Grain Bowl ($17). I was not impressed with my sandwich. The chicken was very thick so i didn't feel like it was cooked right. It was very wet and kind of chewy so I couldn't eat it. I was only able to eat about 1/3 of it before feeling sick. My wife was Egh about her bowl as well. Overall, I would say this is more of a vibe spot rather than a tasty food spot. Also, they add a 4% sure-charge as like a tip then add another 22% tip at the end of the meal. Just something to bring up. I believe they're in business more for the vibes rather than the food. Not sure if I would come again.

It’s our first time going to this place with family. The hostess asked the group if each one of us are ordering an entrée. Upon letting her know that most of us wanted to just have apps and drinks, we were told that we weren’t allowed to be seated in the main dining area. Instead she pointed us to sit at the bar. Well we prefer to have a table because one of us planned to order a meal. We’ve never encountered a situation like this before. Drinks alone would’ve been at least $50 per person plus apps. They could have made $300 easily from us.What it made it worse was the hostess’ attitude about it. Completely unnecessary and so rude!Go to Eddie V’s instead. Views are more spectacular and service is impeccable (esp Aaron, he’s awesome).

We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner on the bottom floor (California Modern) followed by a welcome cocktail reception on Level 2 and could not have asked for a more amazing space! Kristine Fogarty, Director of Special Events & Guest Services, was phenomenal to work with throughout the entire process and accommodated us every step of the way- even going so far as to help us create custom menus and name place cards to add a special touch to the evening. We are forever grateful to the George's staff & Kristine for all they did to kick off our special weekend and cannot wait to come back for years to come!

This one of our favorite places in La Jolla. The best view on Prospect Street from their 3rd floor patio. If you can get a seat by the edge it's an incredible experience. Menu is always evolving, reasonable prices, and great service. My only suggestion would be to always have at least one steak option on the lunch menu and make the poke tacos a permanent fixture on the app menu. You can't go wrong with this place for lunch or dinner.

My wife and I both thought the menu was quite limited and the food was just ok. Definitely not worth what we paid. Desert was the best part. The food tasted amazing!! I ordered the roasted half chicken whole my friend bought the lasagna. We ended with a warm chocolate cake for dessert. Our dessert was frozen cold when we first received it, but after I mentioned it to our server, they switched it out right away and brought over a delicious cake. There are three floors, which are all different. The bottom floor is closed with window views of the ocean, second floor has open windows while the top floor is open all around. If you're trying to get a good view, go during the day since you can't see much at night.

Wow, Great Food !!Terrific fish selections cooked perfectly and friendly valet car service right in front for $14 bucks. The decor is a mix of well lit New York subway, which strikes me as a bit strange and unsettling for an upscale $50 a plate restaurant and the 30 foot human brain painted on the wall is also hard to look at throughout a two hour dinner but I can't say enough about the terrific food, cooked to perfection and the over-the-top service. The drink selections are spot on and even great mocktails for those that want a delicious cocktail without the alcohol. 5 STARS .

1st time there. Restaurant week. The hostess was distracted and rushed. My wife's lobster was under cooked, you could see the raw flesh yet the manager, in a snarky way, told her it was cooked and insisted despite her tasting raw lobster flesh, she is a lobster aficionado and knows her lobster. The manager asked how can I comp you? She said I'd like a the burger instead, he said would you like me to comp your burger? What manager asks the customer for permission to make it right? They brought her a green salad in the meantime without silverware. Its was really sub par. The check came with absolutely nothing comped. What a disappointing visit. We will not return and neither should anyone seeking high end restaurant.

I am a native San Diego and I love La Jolla. I haven't been to the rood top deck since they expanded. I understand that was about 5 year's ago. I was at La Valencia during the day and instead of going to Eddie Vi's I decided to go up to the top deck at George's. It is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous up here now. My server Megan was fantastic and Shannon another server was very nice also. They had great food and the music was nice although not LIVE music. This restaurant offers a $300 reservation in advance called "The Sunset Spectacular" table. There are two tables that are amazing for that view, and only two options to book on their website so that's what we booked for my wife's 40th. However we did not get to sit at one of those two tables, in fact one stayed empty during our entire dining experience, and we had to deal with the groups of people constantly standing behind us to take pictures. It was a rip off, I wouldn't suggest ever booking that reservation. I asked the servers why we weren't seated at those tables when we paid in advance, and they told us that all the tables by the edge were considering that type of reservation. So we asked the other people sitting next to us if they paid $300, and they did not. BIG RIP OFF, nothing spectacular about it. I also got the spaghetti and clams and it was extremely bland. The overall experience was very basic.

We made reservations for the view and umbrellas were blocking much of it. The food was under seasoned and nothing special. The appetizer tasted like egg salad on lettuce with a few salad shrimps. We both had different fish as our main dish and felt the veggies were better than the actual fish. No flavor! The service was not impressive by any means. The desert is the only positive part of the meal. Desert was very good. I would NOT bother going again or recommending to a friend.

Everytime we dine here it's an amazing experience. It quickly became our Anniversary tradition and couldn't ask for more. My lamb shank was amazing, so was my tequila martini and ultimate margarita. The warm chocolate cake is to die for!Our server, Shannon, was a delight! She was warm, friendly, and completely on top of our every need. One of the best dining experiences we've had!

If I could give this place 10 stars I really would, everything from the service to the food to the view was spectacular. My boyfriend and I came here for our one year anniversary and they hooked us up with complimentary champagne. We ordered the scallops and the shrimp pasta, it was so good much recommend. Our waitress was literally the best she was super friendly and so attentive. All in all a great experience.

Level 2 easily contends for best cocktails in town. The staff have made an absolute gem of a cocktail menu. Seems very rare that these places with a great view bother to have drinks or food to match, but George's level 2 has put in the work and it shows.

George's at the Cove is always a pleasant experience. Right now they are being very careful and have the tables partitioned off and the wait staff have gloves and masks on. The top level allows everyone the opportunity at an ocean view! The menu is a bit limited, but has a good variety regardless. Always a great place for casual or more upscale!!

Minorities beware,This past weekend, I had a terrible experience at the hotel's rooftop bar. I was there for three hours ($164.00 tab) with a potential business partner. Things were going fine with our male bartender until the Padres game started, then another bartender showed up (Kimberly). She made us a couple of rounds before deciding she didn't want to serve a glass of ice water. I politely asked for a glass of ice water. I assumed that she would grab it, but I noticed she continued serving others and walking back and forth behind the bar. The disregard went on for about 5 -7 minutes until I decided to ask again. She said, " there is water at the end of the bar you can go get." Blown away at this comment, I said, " Well, I ask you for the water. I noticed the frustration on her face as she reluctantly served us two glasses of ice water. Let me remind you, earlier; my guest asked the male bartender for a glass of water that he poured without question and never mentioned that we would need to fetch our water. Management, please conduct customer service, diversity & inclusion training.

The food was overall alright, except for the squid ink pasta w saffron and fish ragout. The Symantec was too strong and the pasta wasn't cooked well, probably due to the unorthodox shape of the pasta(sorta like a flower bud shape).

I like this rooftop bar its quaint with a comfortable seating around a fireplace. They have happy hour Monday thru Friday. I had a glass of wine with friends. The service at the bar can get backed up but the staff did their best. I tried the flat bread which were just okay. I recommend a visit here.

I visited the Nolen rooftop for a corporate event hosted until 11pm. At 10 pm they stopped letting guests in completely. At 10:15 they made last call for drinks. At 10:30 they started asking us to leave. If you even tried to sit down and network for 5 minutes, a server would clean around you and ignore you. I know it’s late and you’re tired, but that 5 minutes could’ve been a new job for me.Menu & drink menu looked great! I didn’t get to try anything because when I tried to order a vodka tonic at the bar at 10:20 the manager asked us to leave.

My first time in San Diego for work. Decided to go out for a drink with my coworker since our server raved about this place. Ordered an Amaretto sour and they didn’t put a cherry in it how it’s supposed to come. Seeing the bartenders were slammed, my coworker grabbed a drink skewer and put a cherry in my drink. The bartender next to us made a huge scene to which we apologized at least 5 times for. We even offered to pay for the $.35 cherry that normally comes with the drink. He wouldn’t let it go and continued to yell and make a scene. We decided to not even have our drinks even though we paid for them and left without getting to experience this highly raved about bar. I’ve worked in the bar/restaurant industry opening numerous restaurants for 10+ years and I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my life. I’ve never been so disappointed in my life and would never recommend this place to anyone unless they want to be treated with no respect even after trying to be the bigger person and apologizing and trying to calm the bartender/situation down. This made the worst first impression of San Diego and will gladly never be back.

Great roof top! I have no pictures, but added a video of the views. The people who worked there were very nice and attentive. Great photo-op near the elevator where it says "The Nolen". I would absolutely come here again. They had plenty of drink choices, my favorite was the cocktail called the Nolen Smash. It wasn't too crowded when I went around 10pm, plenty of seating available & a relaxing atmosphere.

Came here at night for a date night. The drinks were great, I didn't have high expectations for food but despite the small menu, the food was also great. After a couple drinks we accidentally broke a glass. The staff acted very cool and professional about it and cleaned it up. Would definitely come here again. The scenery and vibe is 10/10.

Had reservations on a Saturday night. We were seated quickly and were waited on within a few minutes. Drinks came pretty quickly and wait staff checked in with us often. It was an amazing setting. Beautiful view of the downtown skyline. There was a full bar and several tables, as well as a fire table. It was a little cool outside, but there was a heater so it was comfortable. Our table was covered but the tables on the perimeter were not covered and it sprinkled a bit. They had food, and a good selection of wine and beer, as well as some signature drinks. Prices were reasonable for a classy place. Although there was music, we were still able to have a conversation. Fun time!

Agree with others here…come for the view, but that’s about it. Mediocre cocktails that end up being around $20 each with a fee that the hotel charges, or so I was told. Thought it would be cool to see a well known rooftop bar downtown but extremely overrated and never going back.

I had the Nolen old fashioned. Delicious! If you are a bourbon conesseur it might be a little sweet for you. Good orange zest aroma and very easy to drink. Large ice cube. The tots were also good as an appetizer. The music was a little loud hence 4 star, but I'm older and louder music bothers me a hinders talking at the table

Stunning views of the city, and pretty good wine/cocktail selection. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made every effort to be accommodating. The only downside was the food—the menu options were limited and the tater tots were served lukeworm, unseasoned, and with cold dipping sauce. Other than that, an overall good night out.

The drinks were good, food was sub par. When trying to get the bill we had to ask three separate times each time they were trying to get us to order more drinks. There was an auto 22% gratuity.(for all bills not just large parties) The music was louder then comfortable for the environment but not obnoxious. What was obnoxious was when leaving asked the front desk woman where the bathroom was she said the downstairs one was for hotel guests only and we could only use the upstairs one so I asked her to badge us back up to the roof and she said no you'll have to go out and wait through the the line in a rude snarky tone. It was a great way to add one more bad taste to the experience.

A hidden little secret off of 6th Avenue. Once you are greeted and your reservation is confirmed, you’ll be escorted through a short hallway where an elevator will lead you up to a beautiful rooftop lounge. This is a great romantic night out or a great way to spend the evening with a small group of friends, or in my case, they were very accommodating to enjoy the night with my kids for my birthday (kid friendly). The staff was beyond courteous and made the night special. The food was delicious, and the drinks were top notch. Definitely recommend The Nolan for any occasion.

We had dinner and cocktails here last night. First, the place is really small so make sure you have a reservation or you might not be able to get in. The decor is modern and chic but has a warm comfortable vibe. That vibe is contributed to by the team that takes care of you. They offer team service...everyone is there to make you comfortable and they all watch over you to make sure your drinks are full. We had meatballs, beef sliders and the truffle mushroom pizza. All were delicious and came out of the kitchen fast and piping hot. The most spectacular part are the sweeping views of the city. You can see into Petco Park and over to the bay and ocean along with lots of sky scrapers. We travel around the world and always look for rooftop places to enjoy an evening, though small stature, this place served up a top notch experience that we highly recommend. Reservations must be made on RESY. There is a charge of $10 per person if you no show or cancel late. I don't think the place has 50 seats so if you don't show, you impact the livelihood of some hard working, well deserved hospitality folks, don't fret over it. Just go and enjoy, we really loved it.

I really wanted to love this place! My husband and I came here for dinner for our anniversary in May and quite honestly it just didn’t live up to our expectations. The view was AMAZING, the food was pretty good but not as good as expected, and the service was good. Mostly we just felt completely out of place here! I also think it’s kind of ridiculous to charge for bread and butter? Yeah it’s $2 a person so not a big deal, but also we’re already spending so much money here, just give us the bread for free! My husbands steak was over cooked which was very unexpected for a restaurant of this caliber, and my lamb was delicious, but the flavor just got boring by the end of it.Overall, it was a really good experience, but we won’t be returning. Personally we prefer C Level Lounge for a beautiful view of San Diego but a little less “elite” so we feel like we can relax and really enjoy the meal.

What a place this place is. Great cocktails to start with. Had an old fashioned delicious. Order a rack of lamb and it was cooked to perfection best Lamb I have ever tried. Our server was very knowledgeable as well, helped my wife with his expertise in wine narrowing down the selection. Would definitely go back.View from the top of the building was unreal you could see a great deal of the city sky line.

The food was incredible. The service was great and atmosphere was perfect. I would like to come back during the day so I can see the view better . I ordered the pasta with lemon and basil . It was incredible and the ossobuco was phenomenal. My favorite dessert was the lemon tart! The only downside was the bathroom was outdated and small and didn’t really match up to the overall experience . But besides that the food was incredibly priced and I can’t wait to come back

Wonderful experience at Mr. A’s for my anniversary with my partner. We made last minute reservations and requested a table with a nice view, we were seated at a table overlooking the city. All of the food was delicious and our waiter was very nice and attentive, the wine pairing suggested with our lamb and duck was perfect. Mr As is always legit but getting a little penny pinching these days. Bread service for 10 bucks for 4 people when we spent 350 on lunch? Come on, he classy. 4 percent service charge come on that was so 2019. Also come of the servers aren't as stellar as the previous staff. I get it, but just want you to be better. Also get some more starters please. I've had the shrimp and tartar for like 3 years. All that aside the food is great and view epic!

Best restaurant view in the city, gourmet food. Pricey, and worth it. Sit outside for sunset, you'll never forget it. Great for special occasions, vday, birthday dinner... has a dress code, but not a bad one. No ripped jeans or sandals or hats. Not too strict considering how fancy it is. They're building a new bar and renovating now that it was just acquired, should be awesome.

The staff was wonderful, the patronage classy, the views were outstanding.. the starters and the desserts were out of this world good.. the rib-eye for two? Well, let's just say the chef was either on his third consecutive shift or he was just the 3rd string chef. I was very disappointed with the entree. Not the amount or quality cut, mind you, but the preparation and display, along with the fact that we had to send it back to the kitchen to be cooked correctly was embarrassing. By the time it returned, we had lost our appetite.I recommend this place for a perfect cocktail with an amazing view, or perhaps some starters. But I will be choosing another destination for a full meal fine dining experience.

Great well known spot near downtown SD. Came without a reservation hoping to grab a spot in the lounge area, but they were full. The ladies up front were so gracious and accommodating and got us a table and we ended up staying for dinner. The cocktail menu is great and has some unique items that were awesome. Our server (and everyone else we encountered) were top notch - attentive but not too much. Our entrees were good but didn't knock my socks off but the ambiance, view, service, and food presentation are more than enough for me to come back. Well done!

Firstly, we totally enjoyed our meal and the view is the city's finest but the server was not the best match for the venue, it's my opinion the servers at Mister A's usually have a level of decorum and instead, we had a very high energy server (kind of hyper) that at times trotted, tripped and sang. This would have been fine if we were at a regular restaurant but it seemed out of place here. The support service was attentive and world-class along as well as the food. I had a beautiful wine by the glass that I won't forget any time soon. It's always a pleasure to dine here. Thank you

Mister A’s is a really special San Diego institution. It’s a beautiful restaurant with amazing views of downtown, the harbor, and flights arriving at Lindbergh Field. The food is always amazing here. We were there for celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday, which I put down the notes when making the reservation, so the restaurant served us a nice plate of cake for celebration. Will definitely visit again for special occasions!

Update 8/4/21. Third meal. Group of 8 friends. We sat out in the patio with fantastic view. Food was great as usual,, except the octopus was tough. Stick with the meat and raw seafood.. - before covid: have eaten here twice now with a large group of conference participants. ...of a limited prix fix menu. Always picked the meats for the main dish. Both meals were outstanding both in flavors and executionView is fantastic too. I love watching the planes already in their low approach right in the middle of the city.

Service was the perfect mix between white linen attention and San Diego comfortable. Food was delicious - great flavor in every taste-bite and portions that would satisfy someone hungry but not over done. And the view - sitting at table in the outdoor patio on the 12th floor perched at the top of Bankers Hill - showed me San Diego harbor is stunningly beautiful.Definitely put Mr A's on your special occasion to do list. But the experience is worth making it there more regularly.Reservations in advance are required, but if just happen to be in the neighborhood, check to see if they can squeeze you in as a walk-in.

The pork chop here was GREAT! The view is spectacular! There not a better view in all of San Diego. My wife and I love to eat at fine dining places. Mr. A's is now in out top 3!

We did outdoor dining. Beautiful view of Downtown and the bay. It was sunny and a bit windy when we arrived around 430pm, but it also got cooler and cloudy towards the end of dinner. Bring something warm to wear if you choose to eat outdoors. I had the maple leaf duck breast and it was delicious!

One of the best places I've visited for fine dining. Very accomodating and friendly management and staff. Had large group for dinner the first time and they very kindly seated us in a nice private alcove? (Banquet room? ) although we were originally placed at separate tables in the main dining room. Food was fresh, perfectly presented and with outstanding flavors. Wine pairings were perfect. Haven't been there in a while so I hope to go back soon.Addendum: I have gone back quite a few times since I first reviewed the place. The last 2 being immediately before the pandemic and most recently, just after California opened up again. And with each visit, I love the place more and more. Great ambiance, great staff/service and great food. We were lucky enough to get patio seating ( early reservations ). The plan was to watch the sunset. However, the weather did not cooperate and was cloudy that evening. It still afforded great views of airplanes landing, if you're into that.

Had a wonderful experience as a first time dinner here. We arrive a little early and the greeting staff was so friendly. They were able to accommodate the early arrival and I requested a certain area and they were able to prove it. Such a gorgeous view- breathtaking and romantic. The food was delicious. We had the lamb chop and hazelnut crusted sea bass and the trio sides : potato gratin, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower. They have an extensive wine list. I was very satisfied with overall service. I can’t wait to go again.

Sat outside with a lovely view of the city and the bay. Service was great. Our server was attentive and pleasant without being pushy. The food was wonderful (seriously, try the mussel starter dish). The cocktails were well crafted and I enjoyed my beef wellington quite a bit. The dessert was pleasant and balanced as well. Highly recommend for a nice night out if you're willing to spend a little more.

My husband got a promotion so last minute I called to see if they had a table. I explained to the gentleman what the occasion was and sadly they were booked. He offered to take my name and call me if anything opened up.... well it was a hanukah miracle because 30 minutes later he called and we got in! Excellent excellent customer service and we all know the food is dynamite.
