HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING
The 2024 Salute the Season event at Liberty Station is a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the holiday season. Taking place this Friday, November 29th, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the North Promenade and Building 177, the main event will be the Liberty Station Tree Lighting & Holiday Festivities. Bring your family and friends and experience a memorable evening filled with the traditional lighting of the 88-foot Norfolk pine tree, live performances, fun firetruck rides, complimentary photos with Santa, and a screening of The Grinch movie. BOARDED! A NEW PIRATE ADVENTURE
This weekend is the show “BOARDED! A New Pirate Adventure”. Two performances will be held this Saturday, November 30th aboard the Spanish Galleon San Salvadore. This hilarious interactive show puts you in the middle of the pirate action. After you are sworn in as part of the crew you will be trained how to navigate, sword fight, bail water from a sinking ship, escape from the King’s Jail, swab the deck, and other pirate skills. But beware…there be mutiny afoot, a lost crew, and cursed treasure. Read More

Thoroughbred Racing is back at the Del Mar Fairgrounds for the Bing Meet, starting October 31st and running through this Sunday, December 1st. Enjoy free and exciting Sundays this fall! Now playing at the Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park is the ever-popular Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The production will run from November 6TH to December 31ST. Every Who down in Who-ville liked Christmas a lot . . . but the Grinch, who lived just north of Who-ville, did NOT! In this live-action adaptation of the beloved children’s tale by Dr. Seuss, the reclusive green Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. The Grinch comes down from his mountaintop home and sneaks into town to swipe everything holiday-related from the Whos. Read More.
JULIAN COUNTRY CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
Celebrate the start of the festive season This Saturday, November 30th with a charming Christmas Tree Lighting event in a small town. The day begins at noon with continuous musical performances. There will also be 20 booths for craft vendors, providing a great opportunity for holiday shopping. Santa will make an appearance at 6 PM to greet the children.
