SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Over the past 22 years, the San Diego International Film Festival has become a leading stop on the international film festival award circuit. Following the Toronto International Film Festival in September, this Festival is strategically positioned in October to showcase buzzworthy films just prior to general release and the awards shows like the Golden Globes, SAG, Independent Spirit Awards, Academy Awards and others. The Opening Night film premiere and party will be held at The Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park on Wednesday, October 18th. Read more.

22ND ANNUAL OCEANSIDE DIA DE LOS MUERTOS FESTIVAL
Join us this Sunday, October 22nd from 10 AM – 5 PM in Downtown Oceanside. The Festival of Dia de los Muertos celebrates the lives of the dead, the interaction between the living and the dead, and the cycle of life. This multi-cultural festival celebrates the traditional Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a fun family-friendly event with retail and food booths. HAUNTED HANGER HALLOWEEN BASH
The USS Midway Museum is hosting a Haunted Hangar Halloween Bash this Saturday, October 21st from 6 PM to 9 PM This family-friendly event promises a night full of fun activities, contests, crafts, and more. Dress up in your favorite costume and get ready to indulge in some tasty treats and magic potion cocktails for the adults. FALL FESTIVAL FAMILY DAY AT SAN DIEGO BOTANIC GARDEN
Fall is in the air! Enjoy our seasonal display of pumpkins in Hamilton Children’s Garden from October 12 through November 6. We’ll have a special Fall Festival Family Day on Saturday, October 21st from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Bring the whole family to create fun fall crafts, dance to the music of Billy Lee and the Swamp Critters, and get ready for Halloween with our spooky boo-tanical costume parade.
