San Diego Wine + Food Festival 2024

The highly anticipated San Diego Food + Wine Festival (SDFW) is back from November 2nd to 10th, with a revamped appearance, exciting new collaborations, and enhanced programming. Now in its 20th year, this renowned food and wine event on the West Coast has grown into one of the biggest culinary festivals in the country, attracting over 11,000 food and wine enthusiasts from both sides of the US/Mexico border. Beyond being a mere entertainment event, the festival also serves as a dynamic hub for leaders in the food and beverage industry.

This year’s festival promises to be the most thrilling yet, with new partnerships with esteemed organizations like the James Beard Foundation and global non-profit Food Tank. According to Michelle Metter, one of the festival’s co-producers, their journey began over 20 years ago to showcase the vibrant city of San Diego, its surrounding bioregion, and its talented and passionate chefs, farmers, fishermen, winemakers, and producers on a national and international level.

As they celebrate their 20th anniversary, the festival has evolved into a multi-genre, multi-cultural event with a mission and values at its core. It aims to inspire and entertain while being diverse and delicious, bringing together luminaries and innovators for one epic week, alongside their new partners, the James Beard Foundation and Food Tank. According to Metter, the festival highlights the city’s diverse culinary landscape and rich multinational influences, offering guests the largest selection of curated wine, beer, and spirits producers and culinary talents from across the country.
