SAN DIEGO BAYFAIR

This Weekend September 13th -15th, San Diego Bayfair Celebrates its 60th year on Mission Bay, one of the largest beach festivals in So Cal. With a long-standing tradition at Mission Bay Park, the first race was in 1964 thanks to the vision of renowned Unlimited hydroplane racer Bill Muncey. Muncey was instrumental in constructing the racecourse, now known as the Bill Muncey Memorial Racecourse, which spans 2.5 miles and is the longest and fastest circuit for H1 Unlimited hydroplanes. In 1999, driver Dave Villwock set a World Lap Speed Record of 173.384 mph at Bayfair.
