LEGOLAND California

Let your children’s imagination come to life at Legoland!  Legoland California Resort, in Carlsbad, has more than 60 rides, shows, and attractions. The rides are made of gigantic Lego bricks, and the park decor is all things Lego. One of the park’s most popular rides is the Lego Technic Coaster. The bravest visitors will embark on a seedy and winding coaster ride in a life-sized Lego vehicle.  The driving school gives children the opportunity to learn to drive electric Lego cars and get their own “driver’s license” at the end.

Legoland California Hotel

Located right at the entrance to the park is the Legoland Hotel. Stay in fun-filled themed rooms that the kids will love. You’ll also get exclusive early access to select attractions and rides before the general public. There are plenty of interactive features throughout the hotel, including a giant pit of LEGO bricks in the main lobby.

SeaLife Aquarium

The aquarium has many fascinating sea creatures including, sharks, octopi, and rays. Your child can experience hands-on learning in the interactive touch pool exhibit. The aquarium features over 250 different species. Watch divers enter the aquariums underwater wonderland and feed the creatures while giving you educational information regarding the creatures. The Aquarium opens daily at 11:00 AM.

Legoland Waterpark

The LEGO themed tower offers exciting rides and slides for all! The Pirate Reef is a water-filled cannon spray that battles between two ships and then soars down a flume between the battling ships. Enjoy sliding down Splash Out as it winds around a curving blue slide ending in a “splash out” in a pool of water. The water park has over ten million gallons of water to enjoy including the wave pool and CHIMA themed play areas. Trust us, this amusement park is truly for children of all ages. Enjoy!

**COVID-19 UPDATE**

CARLSBAD, CA (Wednesday, June 17th, 2020) — An underwater voyage awaits as SEA LIFE® Aquarium at LEGOLAND® California Resort is officially reopening on June 20, 2020.

After being closed for months, the more than 4,000 sea animals inside the aquarium built for kids and families are eagerly awaiting visitors! It’s been an exciting time for the SEA LIFE family as we’ve welcomed baby cuttlefish and await the birth of ocean tank baby horn sharks. Guests can explore the 200,000-gallon ocean tank as they walk below sharks, rays, tropical fish, and other sea animals and learn about bioluminescent tides at Sea at Night.

As guests and employees’ health and safety remain the top priority at LEGOLAND® California Resort, guests will experience some differences at the aquarium including reduced capacity, cashless payments, social distancing practices, and enhanced cleaning regimes. SEA LIFE is encouraging guests to purchase tickets in advance to reserve access to the aquarium for their desired dates and time to visit. Face coverings will be required for all guests and the staff.

Awesome place! Days worth of things to see and do here, so take a few days to just explore the whole place. Some of the... coolest things here are the 3d models of many things across the world, but there are also lots of fun rides to enjoy.read more

Even with the covid situation happening Legoland is doing the best they can. Since there is no manual on how to deal... with this covid situation I'm impressed with how Legoland is handling the situation. What doesn't help them is the Karen's and Kyle's complaining about everything because they are assuming everything is back to normal. Keep up the good work and you guys will find your rhythm.read more

The hotel and big shop is the only spots you can go for now. Stayed a night to relax, foods are available via order by... net or phone. No restaurants at this time. Social distancing is good to go. Safety implementations thumbs up. The only complain i have is the guest relations at the front desk. Line is too long , wait time is not good for checking in at the hotel. They can easily fix it by opening all 3 desk, safety distance is getting implemented anyway.read more

I went back in August 2019 with my friend and her kids. We stayed at the Legoland Castle hotel and it was AMAZING! The... hotel itself was so interactive, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I found myself ordering dessert after the kids went to bed and the cheesecake was the best I've ever had. I am a pastry chef, and I was in awe at the detail in every meal. The park is magical with the same cleanliness and wholesome vibe you'd expect from a major California theme park.read more

I regret so much giving Legoland almost $1500 that I can’t even use right now. No refunds... nothing. I can’t get... my money back and use it on something else for my son’s birthday. I have no idea when we can even spend the “voucher” we were given. Nobody at Legoland vacations wants to help during this crisis/pandemic. You’d think they’d be more compassionate and not so greedy. This has just been so discouraging. I could have really used that money back. 😞read more

My 3 year old loves it when we came before cov.. can’t wait for it to open. We have the yearly pass. We stayed at the... hotel last time around. It feel a little out dated but son still had a great time. Breakfast buffet was great. I’m sure that’s going to change now. The valet staff were great and quick to get my car. I paid an upgrade fee for additional room space. Didn’t feel that much bigger but as long as son had a great time. I say only complain was the outdated look in the rooms. But everything else was awesome. Son loved the song playing in elevator 🙂 everything awesome. Oh he also likes the sound effects in the hallways. Great place for kids or the big LEGO fan. If we bought lots of legos from the shops. Thank you for all your sculptures/Art. I can’t wait to return. Son keeps asking me when can we go.read more

Legoland was the most incredible experience! Every staff member was dedicated to making the kids feel immersed in a... special world. Renata noticed my son was trading in a special Batman LEGO figure, so she took our family into the LEGO making space and showed him how legos are made and gave him special badges. As well he got to trade his special Batman for a different special figure! She made his birthday spectacular! As well we stayed in the adventure themed hotel, which was so fun and so easy! The “king” hosting the evening events was hilarious. This experience is worth every penny!!read more

Legoland California Hotel was great! Our kids had a great time and there is so much to do to keep them busy and tire... them out. Dance parties, treasure hunts, building competitions and a fun play area that my 9 year old even enjoyed! We will be back as this was a great time for all of us. The hotel is sitting at the front of the park, literally steps from the entrance.read more

Such a fun experience every time and the price is definitely worth it! It's amazing for kids of all ages. We go several... times every year. My kids (7 and 8 years old) would rather go here any time over Disneyland. You could probably explore the whole park in 2 days. It's crowded but not to the point where you're bumping into people everywhere you go and we've never had to wait more than 45 min or 1 hour to get on a ride. Most of the rides are small but some of them have age limits (must be at least 6 years ol to ride) and some don't allow parents to get on. It's not bad though because you can keep an eye on your kids at all times. There's also several little play areas for kids to play in and some of the rides have Lego areas for the kids to play with while they wait. Also, all the food is amazing! I love their apple fries. And if you can afford it, staying at the Legoland hotel or the Castle hotel just adds to the whole experience.read more

I have a lot to say about Legoland! Some good, some not so much. First, it was fun to visit... But only once and that's... all you'll ever need in your life!! I feel like most people have said the same thing. I really was amazed at the creativity in rides and the over all look of the park. I would say the rides were mostly geared towards a younger crowd. We also waited FOREVER in each line! The very best thing about Legoland was the Apple fries! I want to go back just for them! My kids said, "We liked going, but didn't LOVE going to Legoland." Do take that for what it's worth.read more
