San Diego Beach Fire Pits
Enjoying San Diego beach fire pits is a time-honored tradition residents and visitors have enjoyed for years. Most beaches provide fire pits free, on a first-come-first-served basis, you bring the wood. Call your friends and family, sing a song around the fire and make s’mores. San Diego beach fire pits are a tradition that even the God of fire would be proud of. Not all San Diego beaches allow bonfires but here are a few to get you started.
Oceanside’s Harbor Beach. is located by the Oceanside Harbor and Cape Cod-style Village on the south end, and the Camp Pendleton Marine Base to the North. This long, sandy beach is a perfect place to getaway. You’ll find about two miles of sidewalk to stroll, which will take you around the entire Harbor, where you’ll find plenty of places to eat and shop for souvenirs. There is lifeguard coverage at Harbor Beach. Shaded picnic areas include tables, barbecue grills, a playground, and restrooms are available throughout the area.

Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Moonlight State Beach is a state park that is operated by the city of Encinitas. Family-friendly with lifeguards and great swimming spots, it’s a fun and welcoming place to spend the day. There is a pay parking lot, but if you arrive early enough, you can find free street parking. The fire pits are available until the beach closes at 10 PM.

If you are not able today maybe in the future that you may you feel the ocean breeze on your face and be glad the sun is shiny and the winds are gentle!

Never be to sure of what you think you know about the Catholic Church that you miss out on the standard of moral excellence that contains the science of saving your soul and all other souls!
One, holy, Catholic apostolic Catholic Church was established by the Jewish Messiah! True Presence of True God and True Man!
Saint Paul, happy feast day! Ora pro nobis!
Smile - despair not! You are loved 💞
Tables are spaced well. If there’s wind be aware of the fire and smoke blowing toward the table you set up at. The pits on concrete are best for this and tables next to them to set up at.
Rats 🐀 show up at dusk in the Palm circle with stones near trash cans so don’t put anything on that island or setup near it.
Good amenities, including showers, changing rooms rentals and food. Playground area too!
The beach has great sand and extends for miles in both directions. Catching sand crabs was a favorite of my kids.
Only drawback is there are steep hills all around to get to the beach. There are a couple of dropoff locations.
We loved this amazing beach park!! I thought the theme was right on point with the sails, surfboard, and sea life on the playground. My son was mesmerized by the tractor grading the sand by the lifeguard tower. We will definitely be back for another beach/park day!

Tourmaline Surfing Park Beach. Surfing isn’t the only thing you’ll enjoy at this beautiful beach, although, if you are a surfer, we highly recommend catching your next wave here. Tourmaline Beach sits between the North end of Pacific Beach and the south end of La Jolla. As with all the other beaches in the area, the fire pits are first-come, first-served.

There are a parking lot and a clean restroom.
The beach itself is clean and not overcrowded.
Ski Beach Park on Mission Bay. Located on Vacation Isle in the middle of Mission Bay, Ski Beach Park features a boat launch, picnic tables, a great walking path, a play area for kids, and of course, fire pits for bonfire-seekers. The park can be reached by taking Ingraham Street onto the island and turn east on Vacation Road, then take your first left into the parking area.

Updated. It's been a while since my last visit. It still one if the best beaches that I want to go when I have my kids with me. There's lot of spaces to play, to walk around or riding a bike.
Negatives: The restrooms are among the grossest I've seen (and I've travelled a lot) and parking can be difficult if you're not carrying any trailer or boat. The indications where regular vehicles can park are very poorly written and people get lots of tickes.
They provide large areas for family picnics, and corporate events. Many opportunities for enjoying a water park atmosphere.
Large areas for volleyball, basketball, children areas, bathrooms and showers, boat launching, kayaking, sailing, the world famous boardwalk.
There's no place like this in the world. Absolutely stunning.
Coronado Beach. Not that Coronado Beach needs more amenities to be amazing (you’ll find picnic tables, BBQs, restrooms, and the beautiful Hotel del Coronado nearby), but the fire pits spread out across the sand are much appreciated. The beach here stays crowded with tourists and locals alike, but like most people that visit they are there to build sandcastles and enjoy surfing, the sun, and sand.

Silver Strand State Beach offers an aquatic center with kayaks for rent as well as a beautiful and relaxing campground. There’s so much sun and sand here that it’s easy to understand why people fall in love with Southern California. Fires must be contained to the rings provided and must all put out by closing time (10 PM), even if you’re staying overnight

The beach is wide, has wonderful soft sand. You are almost guaranteed to see birds, egrets, pelicans, and sea lions. Gentle waves invite you to enjoy the Pacific's beauty.
Beach is well kept up, clean. Can be busiest on weekends, it is a large beach, but you can usually find space to relax.
Would recommend this to anyone visiting San Diego. Easy to get to from downtown, using the spectacular Coronado Bridge.
Kid friendly. Well maintained. Meter for park pay is past the picnic tables. Not in the parking lot. Enjoy .
It's $10 per car. There is currently no service for food, but bathrooms were open. There is seating still there. There is water available for rinsing.
Sand shells are tiny. Recent sign posted some sighting of sting rays noticed, and recommended shuffling your feet while in the water. Breeze was lovely, not to strong, but enough to keep you cool.
We loved it! Would love some of that fairy dust on a jar!
The waves here are fine but not conducive to surfing. Much calmer than up north.
There are rest rooms, picnic tables, and spigots to rinse boards, bodies, and feet.
The lifeguards and staff are great you can do whatever you want as long as you don't get out of hand. It's a safe place to take your family and friends.
Please be diligent and extinguish your fire before you leave! That means no glowing embers!
