In Huntington Beach, you’ll find the Bolsa Chica Ecological Wetlands Reserve. It’s a wonderful 300-acre nature reserve and sanctuary designed to educate, entertain, and ultimately move people to a greater understanding of the relationship we have with the world around us—particularly our relationship with life-giving water and the animals and sea life it supports.
Bolsa Chica Ecological Wetlands Reserve’s main attraction is the 1.5-mile trail loop around a water inlet, where you can peer into the wetlands and see an incredible array of seabirds birds and sea creatures. There are endless opportunities to learn—even about ourselves.
