Pascuala Ilabaca is a leading light of the new breed of exciting young Chilean singer-songwriters. Ilabaca’s music is rooted in the traditional sounds of Chile and infused with music from Barcelona, Chile, Mexico, and India. Elements of jazz, pop, and rock are incorporated into her music creating a sound all her own. Backed by her powerful band, she conjures up sweetness and empowerment, with song lyrics focused on positive messages of feminism, anti-violence, and cultural heritage.
