Pacific Marine Mammal Center
The Pacific Marine Mammal Center rescues, rehabilitates and releases marine mammals and inspires ocean stewardship through research, education, and collaboration. Wild marine mammals are at the PMMC instead of out in the blue Pacific because of wounds, parasites, and fishhooks which account for some of their issues, but for most of them, malnutrition and dehydration brought them here. The mammals are released when they are in sound medical condition, have the ability to dive independency and compete for fish while maintaining healthy body weight. There is no charge for visiting but donations are greatly appreciated. They are open to the public every day from 10-4 pm.
