Come launch your engineering dreams at our 12th Annual Pumpkin Launch. Join Discovery Cube and Cal State University, Fullerton at Cal State Fullerton’s athletic field for a day of the flight, engineering, and pumpkin-smashing hijinks on Saturday, November 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

What is Pumpkin Launch? Pumpkin Launch is a free community event for students and families to participate in a fun-filled STEM festival at a university campus. Contestants use the principles of STEM to build trebuchet machines that send pumpkins high in the sky and towards targets that line the field. The team with the highest score wins the Pumpkin Launch trophy! It isn’t all about cheering on the stem-topped soarers, though. The FREE Event provides hands-on activities for students and families to design and build their own launching devices, test their machines and enjoy some mini-competition.

Plus, enjoy some of OC’s best food trucks, have a bite and keep your energy up.
