San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

The San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is a must visit destination while in San Diego, California. The Gaslamp Quarter is a 16½ block historical neighborhood in downtown San Diego. The name “Gaslamp” is in reference to the gas lamps that were common in San Diego in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The area is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places and includes 94 historic buildings. Its main period of development began in 1867 when Alonzo Horton bought the land in hopes of creating a new city center closer to the bay and chose 5th Avenue as its main street.  The area now boasts over 200 restaurants, bars, nightclubs and lounges, and countless boutiques, art galleries and shops. The Gaslamp has definitely established itself both as the playground of hip, eclectic San Diegans and as an elite urban destination. Discover the festive spirit of San Diego’s legendary historic Gaslamp Quarter.

Dine anytime at Brians 24

The story of Brians 24 starts in 2008 when a father (Steve) and a son (Brian) began a drive around the Gaslamp Quarter in search of the next family business venture. Being San Diego natives, Steve and Brian knew exactly what Downtown was missing, an all-hours restaurant where you could get good comfort food anytime, day or night.

Featuring a copper-clad open kitchen and a beautiful, historic “Joan Crawford” mahogany bar that’s combined with the beveled glass window wall and crystal chandelier, Brians 24 creates an enchanting ambiance.  Whether you want dinner or breakfast at 2 am after a night of dancing, Brians 24 has the comfort food your craving
