Halloween in San Diego brings a combination of fun Fall festivities and spooky fun Things To Do for Halloween! Here are some of our favorites!
Enjoy close encounters with Birch Aquarium scientists and search the galleries for unusual underwater creatures rarely seen at Birch Aquarium. Discover a sea of glowing beasts (big and small), get sticky with slime, and enjoy spooky stories, all while boo-gieing down to live music and having a monstrously good time. October 26 & 27th. It’s time again for Haunted Tales at Maritime Museum San Diego Enjoy lantern led tours around the Star of India ship and hear eerie legends from the past. Hear tales of how young John Campbell fell to his death from the rigging and more creepy events. For one night only, lantern-led tours will be held from 6pm-10pm on October 20 & 27th. Tickets here.
Family Fall Festival
Come to the San Diego Botanic Garden and celebrate the season with Fall-themed activities, like pumpkin painting, Halloween crafts, and a petting zoo. Children can wear their favorite Halloween costume and are invited to participate in a costume contest. No adult costumes permitted. Don’t forget to stop in and have a photo taken with the Big Pumpkin, and eat yummy food with a variety of organic, farm-to-table entrees at the Festival. October 27th 10 am to 2 pm. Tickets here.

Awesome Awaits at the Park…after dark! Brick-or-Treat Party Nights at LEGOLAND®California Resort is back for more Halloween excitement. The entire Park is open for Party Nights every Saturday in October. Get your tickets here
Save Our Heritage Organisation (SOHO), which operates the historic Whaley House Museum in Old Town, has some “spirited” fun in store for visitors this Halloween season, including extended hours, period lighting and music, Past & Presence Ghost Tours, and after-hours Ghost Hunts. Join Old Town Trolley Tours for stories of history, mystery, and legends of San Diego’s past & DARKER SIDE! Travel back in time and learn of the spirits of the notorious wild characters like Gunslingers, Gamblers, and Ladies of the Night who lived and died in San Diego. Available Thursday – Sunday only.
