Fleet Science Center Stargazing

Fleet Science Center stargazing is the perfect year round Thing To Do! The Fleet gets together on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. or 8:15 p.m. for a tour of the solar system narrated by the Fleet’s astronomer. Journey through the cosmos with Fleet as you explore a new topic each month.

July 11th- Worlds of Star Wars (Yearly Comic-Con tie-in)

Could the ice planet “Hoth” really exist? How about the desert moon of “Tatooine” or the forest moon “Endor”? Do we have any evidence that similar worlds exist in our own solar system or around other stars? In July, Fleet is celebrating the worlds of Star Wars as we all patiently wait for Comic-Con.

For optimal viewing, each show is limited to 250 attendees. Avoid sold-out shows by purchasing tickets in advance. Free telescope viewing with the San Diego Astronomy Association available outside after the shows, weather permitting. This is a separate event held on the first Wednesday of each month.

Due to the darkness required in the theater and the sophisticated nature of the material presented, planetarium shows are not recommended for children 5 years and under.
