FORT ROSECRANS MEMORIAL DAY

Fort Rosecrans Memorial Day is San Diego’s most prestigious and largest memorial dedicated to the men and women who fought for our country. Next Monday, Memorial Day, May 29th we remember all our fallen soldiers for the ultimate sacrifice they made to this country.
Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery Support Foundation consists of War Veterans Organizations and their Auxiliaries, as well as patriotic groups who have been conducting Memorial Services in San Diego at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery for more than 100 years. Read More

LEGACY WEEK

Memorial Day in San Diego is not complete without “Legacy Week”, which takes place at the USS Midway Museum. We are bringing our famous activities aboard this year! Midway Legacy Week includes a Memorial Day Wreath ceremony, an interactive Remembrance Wall, and other commemorative activities. Each element is intended to celebrate and honor our heroes as well as our military heritage. Attendance is free. On Memorial Day on Monday, May 29th, at 9:00 AM, join us for a commemorative wreath-laying ceremony. Read More

NORTH PARK MUSIC FEST

North Park Mini Park will transform into an art gallery and music festival on Saturday, May 27th, and Sunday, May 28th, from 11 am to 10 pm. Call your friends and bring the kids to hear some of Southern California’s coolest bands in the heart of San Diego’s eclectic neighborhood. We’ll also have craft cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and a free water station. SANTEE STREET FAIR AND CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL

Join us this Saturday, May 27th, from 10 AM to 6 PM for the Santee Street Fair & Craft Beer Festival. Santee Street Fair, the one-day Memorial Day block party, is a fun-filled event for all ages. There are food vendors, beer gardens with craft beers, wine, and spirits from local breweries, rides, and games, as well as live music and retailers. Read more

VISTA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

Enjoy a fun-filled family day on Sunday, May 28, from 8 am to 6 pm. Bring your best Strawberry outfit and your berry-happy smile… We can’t wait! The festival has something for everyone: contests, a kids’ play area, entertainment, art and film, vendors, and, of course, Strawberry delicacy! In the 1960s and 1970s, Vista shipped strawberries daily during peak season throughout the United States and Europe. In its heyday, many called Vista the “Unofficial Strawberry Capitol of the World”.
