The Japanese American National Museum is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to preserving and sharing the history, ancestry and culture of Japanese Americans. The National Museum strives to provide rich experiences that spark a passion for lifelong learning in the minds of youth, while enhancing their school education.

The museum contains more than 130 years of Japanese American history, dating back to the first Issei generation. Artifacts, photographs, art, textiles, and oral histories of Japanese Americans are among the many intriguing things to view in the museum that promote the value of ethnicity in our country. There are always new exhibitions that will educate and inspire visitors of all ages, and the museum can be seen as a forum that allows all people to explore their own heritage and culture. The museum is located in Little Tokyo.
