When traveling with Xplore Offshore there are no lines and no crowds. You can book a private tour or get to know the very few other adventures that will be along for the ride. Pick ups for the ocean boating adventures are usually as the Dana Landing of Mission Bay, but other arrangements can be made. Xplore Offshore has two different boats in which you can travel, the 24′ Northwind Custom RIB or the 18′ Boston Whaler Outrage. The bright yellow 24′ Northwind is designed after the nearly indestructible crafts used by Navy Seals and can hold up to 12 passengers. Its features include a galley, CD stereo, swim-step, heated fresh-water shower and a private restroom. The 18′ Boston Whaler is a classic Boston Whaler who’s deep hull is perfectly designed for taking on the huge swells of the Pacific Ocean. This boat can seat up to six passengers who can move freely about the boat for optimal interaction with the ocean and sea life.

Xplore Offshore offers five action-packed and adventure filled expeditions of all the Pacific Ocean has to offer. Trips can range from three short hours of whale watching or snorkeling to two days filled with uncovering the mysteries of Catalina Island. You’ll want to pack a light jacket but don’t worry about snacks, because all of the tours provide the very best refreshments.

Mini-Adventure (3 hours)
For whale watching, sightseeing or special celebrations, this trip packs the most mph (memories-per-hour). Xplore Offshore’s boat travels five times faster than the big whale-watching boats. You’ll go 1-3 miles offshore for the best chance of seeing blue, gray, humpback and killer whales, sunfish, porpoises and other sea life. Rates: $49-$79/person; private charters $100-$160/hour.

Bay Hopping (3 hours)
Explore close to shore. See the sights of San Diego Bay and Mission Bay at your speed. This trip is ideal for corporate clients, visitors and connoisseurs of cruising. Enjoy a winetasting on the water, or scout city fronts, aircraft carriers and submarines. Rates: $59-$79/person; private charters $125-$180/hour.

Half-Day at High Speed (4-5 hours)
How much fun can be stuffed into a half-day? How about swimming, snorkeling, high-speed rafting, sea life viewing and a gourmet lunch? If you have the time, Xplore Offshore has the place. Rates: $79-$99/person; private charters $160-$200/hour.

Concerts & Cocktails at Night (4-5 hours)
Experience the ocean with evening cocktails and live music at San Diego’s waterfront venues. The best seat in the house is on the water. Catalina Island (1-2 days)
Experience Catalina Island’s natural beauty. Go from Dana Point Harbor to Catalina and camp on remote beaches that are accessible only by boat.
