Let your dog run free, play in the water, dig in the sand and make new friends at these off-leash dog beaches: Ocean Beach Dog Beach, the north end of Coronado Island-next to the Naval Air Station, Fiesta Island and Del Mar Dog Beaches provide fun for the whole family.

Pack some towels, a couple of dog toys and prepare for a day of fun in the sun. If you are introducing your dog to the ocean for the first time, let them absorb their surroundings and slowly walk them into the water while they are still leashed, they will get used to it in no time. Your dog will love the interaction and play time they get with their new canine friends.
