San Diego Botanic Garden
Thanks to San Diego’s mild climate, plants from all over the world thrive within this urban oasis. The San Diego Botanic Garden offers a place of year round beauty. Explore four miles of garden trails, enjoy tranquil vistas, flowering trees, majestic palms, and the nation’s largest bamboo collection. The diverse topography provides a variety of microclimates giving the visitor a sensation of going from a desert environment to a tropical rainforest all within 37 acres.

Located just 30 minutes north of San Diego in Encinitas, the San Diego Botanic Garden features numerous exhibits including rare bamboo groves, desert gardens, a tropical rainforest, California native plants, succulent gardens, an herb garden, fire safe landscaping, a subtropical fruit garden, and natural areas of coastal sage. In June of 2009, the Hamilton Children’s Garden opened as the largest interactive children’s garden on the West Coast. The mission of the Garden is to inspire people of all ages to connect with plants and nature while providing a place of year-round beauty.
