San Diego Beaches
Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are found along the 70 miles of San Diego’s coastline. Stretching from Oceanside Harbor at the northern end to Border Field State Park in San Ysidro, our beaches offer something for everyone. One local ‘fav’ is Oceanside’s Harbor Beach. This wide stretch of sand offers everything from volleyball to surfing, a little convenience store, a playground for the kids and fire rings. In the harbor you can sail, fish, whale watch, rent kayaks or visit the marina which offers an array of restaurants, shopping and people watching. Moonlight Beach in Encinitas is another wide beach offering picnic facilities, summer concessions, fire rings and another great playground. La Jolla Shores is approximately one mile long, with very calm surf, making it one of the best family beaches in San Diego. There are plenty of other great beaches in San Diego, but these are a good start . . . so get out there and hit the beach!
