San Diego Airshows

Grab your sunscreen and head out to the County of San Diego Airports this Spring for their exciting air shows .  Starting with the Borrego Akofest April 15 & 16 at Borrego Valley Airport  featuring acrobatic competition over desert sands as some of the best pilots in the country compete.

“Fallbrook Airpark’s Open House on April 17th is held in conjunction with the community’s annual Avocado Festival featuring static displays of vintage aircraft, a street rod car show, a professional flight simulator, rescue and firefighting demonstration by Sheriff’s Copter 12 and remote-controlled model aircraft demonstration” plus burgers, hot dogs, chips and soft drinks (slight charge for the food).”

The Wings Over Gillespie Air Show will be held on June 5 & 6. The Arizona Wing of the CAF will be bringing their B-17 Flying Fortress and B-15 Mitchell to the airshow, and visitors will be able to purchase rides on the aircraft for a once in a lifetime experience. There will be a large Kids’ Zone, merchandise and food vendors, and live stage shows throughout the day.
