The Marine Corps Recruit Depot Command Museum boasts one of the most extensive and comprehensive displays of Marine Corps historical items in the nation. MCRD focuses on making fearless and knowledgeable Marines. The museum provides an educational setting that portrays the legacy of the Marine Corps for the training of recruits and the continuing education of Marines.

With over 4,000 artifacts, equipment, weapons and research archives, you’ll get an unparalleled glimpse of Marine Corps history. During your visit, you may catch a glimpse of Marines in the making, (boot camp). Peek out the backdoor towards the parade deck to see and hear drill and cadence.

Directions: from I-5 take the Washington Street exit. Traveling from the south, turn right and from the north, turn left onto West Washington Street. Go straight through the next two stoplights, this will take you directly to gate 5. Please request directions to the MCRD Command Museum in Day Hall, Building 26, upon entry.
