Tour Scenic Highway 101

US Route 101 is one of the most important highways along the west coast. Connecting Washington, Oregon, and California along the Pacific Coast of the United States, San Diego’s portion of the famous highway hugs the coast with spectacular views, restaurants, shops, and other various points of interest.

Start at Cabrillo National Monument at the southern tip of Point Loma. As you travel north, you will get a view of San Diego Bay, see gorgeous view points along the cliffs at Torrey Pines and pass the numerous lagoons along the coast in north county. Be sure to look for the historic brown shields bearing the infamous CA-US 101 to stay on the right track as you explore this famous route. Driving up or down Highway 101 is never dull, and you will discover something new every time.
