Shopping on Cedros Avenue is like a stroll down a charming European Side Street. Walking 2 and a half blocks normally does not take long, but the Design District on Cedros Ave packs so much creativity that it merits a few hours. An impressive 85 one-of-a-kind shops, each with its own allure.  Many of the shops display original creations from hundreds of artists, architects and photographers. Creative artists sell their crafts, clothing and jewelry in beach cottages turned storefronts or inside large, warehouse style spaces resembling worldly shopping bazaars.

Once you have shopped all you can shop, settle in for a glass of wine and people watching at one of the cafe’s.

Part of the small Solana Beach community, the design district is easily accessible. Just north of Del Mar and one short block east of Pacific Coast Hwy. Parking is free. Mass Transit bus route 101
