They are perfect for keeping warm during a romantic sunset or for roasting marshmallows with the kids after a family beach barbecue. Best of all, beach bonfires cost nothing except maybe a few dollars for some s’more fixings.
San Diego beach bonfires are first come, first served basis, you bring the wood. In the summers this may mean staking out pits very early in the day. Rules about beach bonfires vary from beach to beach but for the most part the rules are simple. If no pits for beach bonfires are provided then no beach bonfires are allowed, DO NOT throw rubbish into the fire, and alcohol is prohibited on San Diego beaches.
