Balboa Park, San Diego
Named after the Spanish maritime explorer Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Balboa Park is located in the heart of downtown San Diego. It is the largest urban cultural park covering 1,200 acres, and is home to 15 major museums, various performing arts groups, international culture organizations as well as beautiful hiking and biking trails.
