Motorcycles on Main is a family friendly event that happens every 1st Friday of the month. Roads are closed to car traffic and open to motorcycles so you can cruise down Main Street, enjoy a fabulous show of motorcycles, or park and show your bike. Whether you enjoy your chocolate hot, cold, sweet or with a chili kick, this event is for you! ‘Haute Chocolate,’ the kickoff event for the upcoming exhibit Chocolate, Chili and Cochineal: Changing Taste Around the World will be at the Heard Museum Phoenix. This evening affair will feature chocolate tastings offered by local vendors, live entertainment, chocolate wine, and much more. Local culinary schools will take part in a chocolate showpiece competition, judged by an expert panel of chefs, artists and curators. Desert Botanical Garden presents Philip Haas’ Four Seasons
Location: Desert Botanical Garden, 1201 N. Galvin Parkway Phoenix, AZ
When: Now through April 28th, 2013
American artist and filmmaker Philip Haas’ monumental sculpture installation, The Four Seasons, will debut this fall at the Desert Botanical Garden. Haas was inspired by 16th century Italian Renaissance artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, who painted imaginative portraits composed of fruits, vegetables, flowers and related objects. Each of Haas’ works (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) is more than 15 feet high and will be on display in the Stardust Foundation Plaza. More info…

When: Any time between sunrise and sunset
Lookout Mountain, one of the smaller units of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, is south of Greenway Rd. and west of Cave Creek Road. As the name implies, the slopes are rather precipitous and the summit offers nice views of the city scape below. Much of this mountain is composed of the remains of volcanic eruptions. The mountain is home to a variety of bird species, squirrel, coyote, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
